R4AB — Renovation in Aix-les-Bains

Atelier NovAlp — Project

R4AB

Bringing a 90 m² apartment up to date. Track lighting, the project's signature, shapes the atmosphere between soft light and golden reflections.

The insulation is completely redone and a heat pump installed for efficient, economical comfort all year round. Kitchen, electrics, plumbing — everything is renewed with overall coherence in mind. The wood-effect laminate floor unifies the rooms and sets a warm tone inspired by the Alpine chalet, right in the centre of Aix-les-Bains. The project's signature lies in the track lighting: a system that allows the atmosphere to be adjusted at will, creating soft light and golden reflections that bring out the textures of the wood and the grain of the surfaces. In an apartment building where co-ownership constraints limit work on the envelope, all the effort is focused on the interior — and every detail counts. All-trades works: painting, electrics, plumbing and insulation. Four months on site.

This 90 m² apartment renovation in Aix-les-Bains meets a precise objective: modernising a co-owned home while keeping control of budget and timescale. Installing a heat pump, combined with a complete overhaul of the insulation, significantly reduces the energy bill and improves thermal comfort in summer and winter alike. The wood-effect laminate floor, chosen for its durability and warm appearance, gives the whole a contemporary atmosphere inspired by the Savoie chalet. Atelier NovAlp, project manager in Aix-les-Bains, managed all the works in four months, from strip-out to handover of the keys. This energy renovation project in Savoie shows that it is possible to turn an old apartment into an efficient, comfortable home, even within the constraints of a co-ownership. Turnkey support, from drawing up the plans to final completion.
