Cluses is France's capital of bar turning — precision machining — at the heart of the Arve valley. This industrial history, inherited from watchmaking, has shaped the fourth-largest town in Haute-Savoie: dense, busy and largely built on the valley floor. The centre, rebuilt on a grid plan after the fire of 1844, combines apartment buildings and tightly packed urban housing.
For a project manager, this context steers projects towards renovating flats and small apartment buildings, interior restructuring and above all energy renovation of an often dated urban housing stock.
