The second historic town of Haute-Savoie and former capital of the County of Geneva, La Roche-sur-Foron was the first town in France to be lit by electricity, in 1885. Working on old buildings of character requires a good understanding of the constraints: external appearance, materials, colours, and sometimes the opinion of the ABF heritage architect (Architecte des Bâtiments de France) depending on the location. We factor these rules in from the first sketch, which secures planning consent and avoids costly rework.
The energy renovation of old buildings is a balancing act: improving comfort and cutting bills without compromising the structure or the character. Our in-house design office defines the right measures, and our RGE CertiRénov certification gives access to grants (MaPrimeRénov', CEE, éco-PTZ).
