MaPrimeRénov' 2026
the guide.
Understanding all the energy renovation grants in 2026: MaPrimeRénov', éco-PTZ, CEE, local grants. Amounts, conditions, combining them — a complete overview for your project in Savoie and Haute-Savoie.
MaPrimeRénov' 2026: what changes and what stays the same
In 2026, MaPrimeRénov' remains the cornerstone of energy renovation funding in France. The scheme keeps its two routes — supported (whole-house renovation) and single-measure (individual works) — while adjusting certain ceilings and strengthening the support requirement for the most ambitious renovations.
In Savoie and Haute-Savoie, energy renovation is all the more relevant because the mountain climate causes significant heat loss. Roof insulation, window and door replacement, installing a heat pump or pellet stove: the savings on heating bills are immediate. And grants can significantly reduce the initial investment.
Atelier NovAlp is certified RGE CertiRénov (no. CR-2026-73-0095), an essential condition for your works to qualify for MaPrimeRénov', the éco-PTZ and CEE. We support you from the initial energy audit to putting together the financing application, including coordination of the works. A single point of contact, from the grant simulation to site handover.
Grants available in 2026
Here are the main schemes available to fund your energy renovation in Savoie and Haute-Savoie.
MaPrimeRénov' Supported route
Whole-house renovation with a minimum gain of 2 EPC (DPE) classes. Ceiling of €70,000 excl. VAT for 4 classes gained. Funding rate from 30% to 90% depending on income. Support from Mon Accompagnateur Rénov' is mandatory.
MaPrimeRénov' Single-measure route
Individual works: insulation, heating, ventilation, hot water. Fixed amounts per type of work (e.g. €4,000 for an air-to-water heat pump, €2,500 for a pellet stove). Available with no minimum EPC gain requirement.
Éco-PTZ (zero-interest loan)
Up to €50,000 repayable over 20 years with no interest. Can be combined with MaPrimeRénov'. No means testing. Eligible for a package of works or alongside the supported route.
CEE (Energy Savings Certificates)
Bonuses paid by energy suppliers (EDF, Engie, TotalEnergies). The amount varies depending on the works and the climate zone (H1 in Savoie = higher bonus). Can be combined with most grants.
Local grants Savoie / Haute-Savoie
The Savoie Department offers additional grants for low-income owners. Some intermunicipal authorities (Grand Chambéry, Grand Lac, Arlysère) provide additional subsidies or free support.
Reduced VAT at 5.5%
Energy renovation works qualify for VAT at 5.5% instead of 20%. It applies automatically as soon as the home is more than 2 years old. It covers materials and labour with no ceiling.
Selected projects
All projects →Supported route vs single-measure route: which should you choose?
The supported route is for owners who want a whole-house renovation. The goal is to gain at least 2 classes on the EPC (DPE) (for example, going from F to D, or from E to C). This route requires a prior energy audit carried out by a certified professional, and support from Mon Accompagnateur Rénov' throughout the project. In return, the amounts are much higher: up to €63,000 in grants for very low-income households.
The single-measure route suits more targeted projects: replacing an oil boiler with a heat pump, insulating the loft, installing a heat pump water heater. No minimum EPC gain requirement, no mandatory prior audit (except for energy-inefficient F and G homes since 2025). The amounts are fixed and depend on the type of works and your income.
Our recommendation for Savoie: if your home is rated E, F or G, the supported route is almost always the better option financially. The thermal gain is huge in a mountain climate — going from F to C can cut your heating bill by a factor of 3. And the grant amount is far higher than the total for several individual measures. We always carry out a comparative simulation of the two routes before advising you.
Why an RGE contractor is mandatory
Since 2014, all public energy renovation grants — MaPrimeRénov', éco-PTZ, CEE — require the works to be carried out by a company certified RGE (Reconnu Garant de l'Environnement). This certification, issued by accredited bodies (Qualibat, Qualitel, Qualifelec), attests that the company has mastered energy performance techniques and is regularly audited.
Atelier NovAlp holds the RGE CertiRénov certification from Qualitel, which covers all energy renovation work packages under project management: thermal insulation (walls, roof, floors), windows and doors, ventilation, heating and domestic hot water. This multi-package qualification allows us to manage a whole-house renovation without handing the administrative side over to a third party.
In practice, this means that your MaPrimeRénov' application is eligible from the very first quote signed with us. We include the RGE references on every quote and invoice, and we help you submit your application on the France Rénov' platform.
