Montmélian, a former fortress at the heart of the Savoie vineyards
A strategic former Savoyard fortress, built around its Rock, whose citadel was razed by Louis XIV in 1706, Montmélian stands at a crossroads: that of the Combe de Savoie and the Grésivaudan valley, at the heart of the Savoie vineyards. A solar pioneer since the 1980s ("Montmélian la Solaire"), it is a small historic town with the old buildings of a wine-growing village.
This heritage steers projects towards the renovation of old buildings — town houses, wine-growing outbuildings, the old town along the Isère — and towards energy renovation, very much in the spirit of a commune historically committed to the subject. Our in-house design office assesses the structure and defines a suitable renovation and insulation strategy that respects the building's character and the appearance rules of the local plan (PLU).
